Terms of service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the AuditReady platform (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at security@getauditready.co or via our contact page. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of someone else without their permission.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.

• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorisation.

• Introduce malware, spam, or any code intended to disrupt the Service.

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the Service.

• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent.

4. Payment

AuditReady is offered as a one-time purchase per organisation. Payment is due at the time of purchase. All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which are collected at checkout. There is no recurring subscription, no renewal, and no automatic charges after your initial purchase.

We reserve the right to change pricing for new purchases with at least 30 days’ notice. Any price change does not affect purchases already made.

Refunds and cancellation are covered in section 5.

5. Refunds and cancellation

14-day cancellation

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase. That right can be lost for digital content supplied immediately, but only if you expressly ask for immediate supply and acknowledge losing it. We do not ask you to do either, so your full 14 days stand.

Business purchases have no statutory right of withdrawal. We give you the same 14-day window anyway, as a contractual right, unless you have already downloaded the full documentation package export — that export is the point at which the Service has been delivered in full.

To cancel, email support@getauditready.co or write to us through our contact page within 14 days of your purchase and quote your order number. You do not need to give a reason.

How we handle a refund

Email support@getauditready.co, or write to us through our contact page, with your order number. We respond within five business days. If we approve the claim we refund the full amount you paid, including any tax collected at checkout, to your original payment method within 14 days. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, a Stripe company, which acts as merchant of record, so the refund reaches you through them.

What you get back, and what it costs you

Nothing is deducted from your refund. Lemon Squeezy charges us a processing fee of roughly 5% of every payment, and it keeps that fee when the payment is refunded — so a refund costs us the price of the sale plus the fee we already paid to take it. That is our cost of doing business, not yours. It is not taken out of what you get back.

There is no restocking fee, no administration fee and no cancellation charge of any kind. You receive the amount you paid, including the tax collected at checkout, and if our payment provider’s own rounding ever returns a fraction of a cent less than you paid, we will make up the difference on request.

If we ever agree a partial refund with you — a goodwill gesture rather than a cancellation — we will tell you in writing how much is being returned before we issue it, and your access to paid features continues. A partial refund does not lock your workspace.

After a refund

A refund ends your paid entitlement: paid features, including the full documentation package export, lock again. Your workspace and its contents remain available to you on the free tier, and you may export your data as described in section 9.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory right you have.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including all software, design, and content, is owned by AuditReady and protected by intellectual property law. You retain all rights to the content you create inside the platform. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. AuditReady does not warrant that the Service is error-free or that use of it will guarantee ISO 27001 certification. Certification decisions rest solely with accredited certification bodies.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuditReady’s total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service. In no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, even if advised of their possibility.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
